Talk It Out!

Hey guys!

Thank you for your love and support for my previous post. I hope you all have thought about your passion.

Right now, all of us are going through a very difficult time. There is a chaos of uncertainty and fear. At such a time its important to not let our moral down. We must support each other in every possible way we can.

Our parents our always lecturing us about what should our priorities be. It’s so irritating, right! According to them our top priority should be studies and health. Ok, I agree that they must be concerned about us but still! Isn’t it our life! We do understand that studies are important but are studies really EVERYTHING? I don’t know what you think, but I believe that there are other things in life as well. What about fun and entertainment?!

As to health, mostly just physical well-being is considered in health. But there’s a lot more to it! What about mental health?! Most people in India still do not consider mental health as an important subject. Adolescents, especially, are more vulnerable to mental health issues like depression, ADHD etc. Its time that people realize that mental health is as important as physical health. It’s OKAY to have negative thoughts and feel gloomy sometimes. There’s nothing to be ashamed of! One just needs to talk it out with someone. Mood swings are common during puberty. Adolescents tend to be insurgent because they have their own opinions and ideas and want to be heard.

I guess you’ll agree with me.

In such a time when you can’t meet your friends and relatives it’s important that you to talk to someone except your parents. Sure, parents do try to understand, but I believe that you should talk to someone whom you trust and think that they understand you!

My dear friends, everyday call a friend of yours, a relative, grandparents, siblings whoever you trust. Just talk to them, ask them how are they. Share your feelings and thoughts. I promise you; you’ll eventually find yourself in a much more beautiful world!

Don’t text, call someone and talk it out!

Passion

Hey guys!

Its my first blog. I hope you’ll like it.☺

Yesterday I was talking to my mom about sudies, honestly speaking I’m not at all into studies. As we all know in India that Boards are the most important exams. I’m in 10th grade. Although my mom dosen’t pressurize me to get good marks but the pressure is all around, the teachers and obviously our ‘know-it-all’ aunties and uncles are like “ beta 10th mein good marks le aao, mann lagake padho taki acche marks aaye aur acche shool/college mein admission mil jaye.” Teachers be like ‘ boards aren’t easy, don’t take it lightly’ etc.

Anyways getting back to the topic, I was frustrated. You know with all this going on, this COVID-19 and lockdown. I was like I don’t wanna study and do my homework. Mum was like ‘you have to do it, there’s no choice you have to do it happily. It’s the only way you can pursue your passion.’ Then it struck me, what is my passion? Teenage is difficult and there’s so much going on in our minds that we aren’t able to decide what do we want from ourselves. Do we really want to just live the ordinary life, having a house and a 9to5 job and looking after our family? Is that what we really expect from ourselves? I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to live such a life. No, I want to follow my dreams and pursue my passion.

The question which now arises is that ‘what  is passion?’. According to me, passion is not something that changes everyday, it remains in your mind forever. Sometimes we are afraid to follow our passion but it stays in the depths of our hearts and when later we get the oppurtunity to pursue it, we really give our best. Passion motivates us to get up and get going.

My dear readers, there are 2 types of people in the world-

First are those who follow their passion

The othes are those who either don’t recognize their passion or are too afraid to follow it.

The choice is ours, what do we want to be?
